Oyster Bay Estuary Water Quality, a project of Friend of the Bay.

There are several ways to get involved:

• become one of our water quality monitoring volunteers (during the April through October monitoring season)
• assist in other ways in our effort to preserve, protect and restore the waters of the Oyster Bay/Cold Spring Harbor estuary
• report an activity that may be threatening the estuary/watershed

The Friends of the Bay, while it has a small professional staff, is a citizen's organization that draws on the support from people living in communities around the Estuary.

Our volunteers make us strong. They help us monitor the Estuary's waters, report polluters, attend community meetings to advocate for the environment, participate in cleanups, and assist us with publicity, events planning, office work and computer work.

Just as welcome as the hands on help of our volunteers are monetary donations from those unable to donate their time. Your support helps Friends of the Bay to help the Bay!
